Why #ReadLocal?

So today, Carnie and I are sharing a video that explains why we want Read Local to be the theme for the first Lit Carnivale book fair. Hope you take a few minutes to check it out.

Also, on Saturday, I celebrated Indie Author Day at the Slover Library in Norfolk, VA. It was a lot of fun. I recorded a presentation I did on reasons to read. I haven’t seen the footage yet. If it’s any good, I’ll be uploading it to our YouTube channel.

Carnie and I are seeking authors, artists, and vendors to be featured at this event. We are seeking volunteers to help the magic happen. We are seeking readers and booklovers to attend and celebrate with us. Please consider joining us on Facebook at the Carnie Club and or signing up for our “Save the Date” email list. Hope to see you around.

So, what do you think of Read Local as the theme for this event? Did you do anything special on Indie Author Day? Got any questions for us? Let us know in the comments. Until next time, I hope you love books as much as #carnieluvsboox.
