What It’s NOT

Lit Carnivale is not…

a Comicon, though comic book and graphic novel fans, authors, and artists are welcome. It is not our goal to compete with other comic conventions in the area, but to help promote them and encourage readers to find a platform that suits them best and to offer book-loving fans an additional entertainment option.

Lit Carnivale is not…

a writer’s conference, though writers are welcome and encouraged to attend. It is not our goal to compete with other writer’s/writing conferences in the area, but to help promote them and encourage writers to find a platform that suits them best and offer their reading side an additional entertainment option.

Lit Carnivale is not…

an educational symposium, though we do promote and support the spread of literacy. It is not our goal to compete with other educational conferences or symposiums in the area, but to help promote them and encourage interested readers, educators, and guardians to find a platform that suits them best and offer them an additional entertainment option.

Lit Carnivale is not…

a showcase for traditionally published authors only. We welcome and support all authors. We want to open our doors to all established authors whether they are backed by a Big 5 publisher, a small press, or their own hardworking selves. We hope to be able to feature as many local established authors as possible.

Lit Carnivale is not…

a free-for-all or random vendor event. We’ll keep an open mind and try to consider everyone; however, all exhibitors, dealers, and artists must align to some aspect of our bookish theme.
